Not to be outdone, Warner/DC has let loose a plethora of information regarding their upcoming slate of superhero films. In addition to a suite of set photos, we have confirmation of the recent Aquaman casting as well as a list of the planned films fleshing out their universe.
Lets get the quick stuff aside first; playing Aquaman in the upcoming Justice League film is none other than Khal Drogo, Jason Momoa! Typically depicted as boyish looking and blonde, Momoa’s take on the king of Atlantis is bound to be vastly different (which is a good thing). Momoa had long been rumored to appear in the film and his consistent denials have been confirmed to be nothing but smoke. Set to make a cameo appearance in 2016’s Dawn of justice and a full fledged showing in the following JLA.
Next on the list we have a host of set photos showing off vehicles from Metropolis and Gotham as well as a new look at the LexCorp logo. Take a look below and tell me what you think:
Finally, the big news! Recently, word has leaked (and has been further confirmed by multiple sources including Kevin Smith) of DC’s list of followup films for the JLA franchise. In order, after Dawn of Justice, we will see Shazam (July 2016), Sandman (Christmas 2016), Justice League (May 2017), Wonder Woman (July 2017), Flash/Green Lantern team-up (Christmas 2017), and Man of Steel 2 (May 2018).
That’s a pretty stellar line-up if I do say so myself. I’m especially looking forward to the Flash/GL flick!
