With the recent reveal that Superman will be making some sort of appearance in CBS’ Supergirl, word has now come out that a number of other key roles have been filled. Alongside the news of Cyborg Superman and Kara’s sister showing up, Andrew Kreisberg, producer on Arrow and The Flash has joined the production staff. Click the link to find out who will be bringing these characters to life!
Two new major additions have made their way into the cast of Supergirl. First up, Alexandra “Alex” Danvers. Alex is the confident foster sibling to Kara, who at a young age developed an obsession with her sisters abilities. Fascinated by the prospect of Kara’s powers, Alex has dedicated her life to become a doctor. The “lesser” Danvers will be brought to life by grey’s Anatomy star Chyler Leigh.
The second piece of huge casting news today revolves around one Cyborg Superman, his human form at least. David Harewood of Homeland fame will be bringing Hank Henshaw to pseudo life. Henshaw is a former CIA Agent who now runs the DEO (Department of Extra-Normal Operations). The DEO is responsible for tracking and dealing with abnormal threats. Henshaw’s existence could be hinting that our young Kara could potentially take on some of Superman’s main threats, which would be pretty impressive.
In what could turn out to be even more important news, Andrew Kreisberg, writer and producer for CW shows like Arrow and The Flash, has signed on to write and produce Supergirl. Whether or not the CBS show would crossover with its CW brethren has been a point of interest for many a fan. With Kreisberg on board penning and paying for Supergirl, it seems even more likely that we will see the three heroes meet at some point.
